Mamerki - former headquarters of the German Land Forces during 1941-1945. It houses the World War II Museum mainly related to the Eastern Front. Over 30 intact bunkers, 38 m observation tower.
From April 26, 2025, in Mamerki you can visit a 1:1 scale replica of the Amber Room. Walls, ceiling, floor measuring 10 m x 10 m, height 8 m in the new exhibition pavilion!
After the war, Erich Koch, former Gauleiter of East Prussia, said that the Amber Room was hidden in Mamerki.
Since 2016, searches for it have been ongoing in Mamerki. However, it has not been found to this day.
