Fresh snow covering country roads, forest paths and hilly terrains creates ideal conditions for cross-country skiing enthusiasts. This is a sport for everyone, unlike other ski disciplines, so it is worth taking advantage of, and at the same time to admire the picturesque landscapes of Mazury. An attraction equally highlighting the beautiful views is a sleigh ride. Such horseback rides are frequent attractions in Giżycko in winter. The easiest way to organize such a sleigh ride is to get in touch with a suitable person from one of the local agritourism farms. Forest trips can also be made on snowmobiles. Not far from Giżycko, in the village of Okrągłe, there is also the Ski Mazury Morenowa Ski Station. There are three downhill runs of different difficulty and a training field here.
