Giżycko is a small town located in the Masuria region. However, it is a very attractive tourist destination – for many reasons. Above all, it is situated between two Masurian lakes, which in itself offers huge possibilities – fun and water sports as well as beach activities.
The main attraction of Giżycko is the medieval Teutonic castle and the 19th-century Boyen Fortress built in the shape of a six-pointed star. However, such places do not seem particularly attractive to children. So if we are going to Giżycko for a holiday, it is worth looking for attractions specifically aimed at children.
The Wiewióra Rope Park in Giżycko is suitable for people of all ages. There are five routes to choose from – low, medium, high, zip line, and for little ones. The lowest route is 3 meters above the ground, and the highest – as much as 12 meters above the ground. In total, the rope park has 70 obstacles and 10 ziplines (including four over the lake).
To use the route for the little ones, our child should be no more than 130 centimeters tall and over 3 years old. The route is secured with nets and barriers, so the child does not need to wear any additional safety equipment – neither a helmet nor a harness. The route has ten different obstacles, including a huge pool with over 10,000 colorful balls (made of non-toxic LDPE).
Older children can use the low route. It is also 3 meters above the ground and has 13 obstacles to overcome. The minimum allowed height is 120 centimeters. The route is ideal for children aged 5 to 13 years.
